Sentence Work for Analytical Writing

Click on the button above to access a couple of worksheets designed to help students develop the quality of their writing at sentence-level.

The process for using them is pretty straight forward:

1. Students have a first go
2. Responses are shared and discussed (e.g. by using a visualiser)
3. General feedback is given
4. Students have a second go with the feedback in mind
5. The responses are shared again

The worksheets are for A Christmas Carol and Macbeth, but they should be easy enough to adapt.
