Punctuation Guide

A few years ago, I published a series of literacy-themed posts.  You can access them by clicking here.  I’ve compiled the ones I wrote on punctuation marks into a sort of guide – I’ve done a bit of editing, added a bit of colour and included some images.  Not entirely sure what I’ll do with it yet, but I’ll probably either print it as an A5 booklet for my wards to use as a reference point or I’ll print and distribute each one as I cover and re-cover the basics on how to use colons and semi-colons etc.

Click here to access it.  The punctuation marks below are covered:

  • Colons
  • Ellipsis
  • Exclamation marks
  • Full stops
  • Oxford commas
  • Parenthetical dashes
  • Semi-colons

Should be easy to adapt.  Hope it’s useful –

Doug
