There’s one image for each poem. Hopefully, they’ll generate some good quality discussion and debate. For example, once students have identified that the fourth image on the bottom row is of Nanny of the Maroons (Checking Out Me History), that should lead to an exploration of why she is described by John Agard as a ‘fire woman’ and then how she compares to Touissant L’Ouverture – and so on.
