Proofreading Makes Perfect Checklist
Click on the button above to download a a simple checklist to support pupils when they proof-read their work. It’s designed to be printed on A5 and stapled or stuck into books. It’s not something to be used for every piece of work. Just for stuff that requires extended writing.
Generally, I ask student to rewrite sentences that contain errors after they’ve done their proofreading – but that’s obviously your call, so you might want to edit the box in grey. The only other thing I ought to add is that ‘words from the list’ refers to ones that I’ve defined beforehand.
Hope it’s useful –
Doug
