Jekyll and Hyde Scheme of Work

Click here to access a scheme of work on Jekyll and Hyde; it’s basically a series of short PowerPoint presentations that each contain the same elements:

  • Big question
  • List of potentially unfamiliar words
  • Literacy task (identify and correct the errors)
  • Retrieval task (find supporting quotations)
  • Repetition of the big question (discuss)
  • Multiple-choice question

Each presentation has an accompanying extract from the novel on a Word document for close analysis and annotation.  The fifteen ‘big questions’ that the resources are hinged around are below.

I’ve also included a folder of ‘additional resources’ that contains stuff like assessment tasks and characterisation overviews – click here to access it.  Everything in the folder can also be accessed by clicking here.

Hope the resources are useful –

Doug
